NATIONAL ANTHEME

Jana
Gana Mana is the National Antheme Of India.

Written
in Bengali, It is the first of five stanzas of Brahmo hymn composed by
Rabindranath Tagore.
·
It
was first sung at the Calcutta Session of the Indian National Congress on 27
December, 1911.
· Jana Gana Mana was officially adopted
by the Constituent Assembly on January 24, 1950.
· The complete song consists of five
stanzas.
· Anthem is approximately 52 seconds. First
and last stanza is approximately 20 seconds.
· The song published in January, 1912
under the title ‘Bharat Vidhata’ in the ‘Tatya Bodhini’ patrika edited by
Tagore himself.
· The song is translated in English by
Tagore in 1919 under the title ‘Morning song of India’.
NATIONAL SONG

Vande
Mataram (English Traslate: ‘Bow to thee Mother’) is the national song of India.
·
The
song is composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in his book Anandamatha in the
year 1882 in sanaskrit.
·
At
first it was sung at the Calcutta Session of Indian National Congress in 1896.
·
Its
English translate was rendered by Sri Aurobinda Ghosh.
NATIONAL EMBLEM
·
The
Emblem of india is an adaption from the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka.
·
Forming
an integral part of the Emblem which is the motto inscribe below the abacus in
Devanagari script: Satyameva Jayate (English : ‘Truth Alone Triumphs’).
·
It
was adopted as the National Emblem of India on 26 January , 1950, the day that
india became a republic.
